Please be advised that due to the Coronavirus Health Emergency, in-person meetings at Borough Hall at (166 Mine Brook Road) have been suspended and are being held with participants at remote locations, connected by online conferencing software provided by zoom.us in compliance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services regarding holding virtual land use board meeting and hearings.  In addition, evidence handling procedures have changed for everyone.

At least ten (10) days prior to the hearing, the application materials, including any plans and reports, will be available online for public viewing via links provided on the Borough website at www.bernardsvilleboro.org.  All hearing exhibits, if any, will also be posted for viewing on the Borough website at least two (2) days prior to the hearing.  For instructions and/or assistance with viewing application materials or how to attend the live virtual online hearing, contact Board Administrator, Frank Mottola, at (908) 636-7635 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Members of the public are invited to view meetings live using Zoom client, which also allows them to “raise a hand” and contribute with voice and video when they are invited to do so during public portions of the meeting.  When you join the meeting, you will first enter a “waiting room” and then be admitted to the meeting by the moderator.  Your microphone will be off (muted) and your camera (if you have one) will not send video to other participants.  If you are a speaking participant, the moderator will enable your mic and permit you to enable your video at the appropriate time to participate in the hearing.

Members of the public may introduce evidence during the public comment portion of the hearing.  In order to facilitate the distribution of any evidence to the Board and its professionals, it must be submitted electronically to the Board Administrator a minimum of three (3) business days before the hearing.  The evidence must be introduced at the hearing by whomever submitted the evidence.  Evidence not submitted electronically in advance of the hearing will be considered at the discretion of the Board.
