Please be advised that grass on front yard lawns may not exceed 4 inches as per our Property Maintenance ordinance, and the Zoning Department will be enforcing this ordinance.

If residents would like to create a habitat or food sources for local pollinators, here are some suggestions from The Impatient Gardener:

  1. Turn a small patch of lawn into a proper native wildflower garden that will feed wild bees from spring through fall and will be more attractive than an overgrown lawn with weeds
  2. Stop applying herbicides to the lawn
  3. Plant native trees that provide more food for pollinators than a lawn could
  4. Incorporate native plants into existing gardens.
