INVITATION TO MEMORIAL PARK DAM INFORMATION SESSIONS PRIOR TO COUNCIL VOTE

INVITATION TO MEMORIAL PARK DAM INFORMATION SESSIONS PRIOR TO COUNCIL VOTE

The Borough Council of Bernardsville will be considering a resolution on June 13, 2022 to decommission the dam at Memorial Park, also known as Nervine Park, adjacent to Borough Hall.  The area of the dam and park would be replaced with a stream and enhanced recreational features.

Under current DEP dam safety regulations, the Borough has the option to reconstruct the dam to comply with current dam standards or restore a stream on the area of the dam and pond.  Borough professionals and staff delivered a report and a presentation on May 9th outlining both options to the Council.  Residents can watch this presentation at the following address: https://www.bernardsvilleboro.org/news-announcements/281-memorial-park-dam-presentation-from-may-9-2022.

The Mayor and Council would like to invite members of the public who are interested in learning more about the matter to meet directly with Borough officials before Council’s vote on June 13th.  If you are interested in reviewing the engineering reports and related information with our staff, please contact the Borough Administrator Tom Czerniecki at This email address is being protected from spambots.
