We encourage all families with children living in Bernardsville to visit Police Headquarters to get a Child Identification Kit for each child, complete it, and keep it in a safe place. These kits, provided by Fingerprint America, will help identify a child if he or she is lost or missing. Each kit includes:

• Actual Size 3.66" x 5.66" Folded fit into a 4" X 6" Plastic Sleeve
• Space for a recent photograph
• Dental chart to be completed by child's dentist
• Space to attach strands of hair for use as a DNA sample
• Personal information including child's name, address, social security number and names and phone numbers of close family and relatives
• Medical information such as blood type, medications and phone numbers of child's doctor and dentist
• Physical information including height, weight, eye color and hair color
• Fingerprinting chart, complete with a nontoxic peel-apart ink strip
