FREE 2007 LANDFILL CLEANUP FOR PRIVATE RESIDENCES, MULTI-FAMILY DWELLINGS, APARTMENT UNITS AND CHURCHES ONLY

OCTOBER 13, 2007 FROM 9:00AM TO 4:00 PM

ITEMS DESIGNATED HEREIN WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE BERNARDSVILLE LANDFILL FACILITY ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2007 BETWEEN 9:00AM - 4:00 PM. RESIDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO DISPOSE OF ONE PICK-UP TRUCK OR VAN OF MATERIAL FREE OF CHARGE. RESIDENTS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY IN ORDER TO ACCESS THE FACILITY.

The Borough of Bernardsville Landfill Facility will accept household items, furniture, heating boilers, hot water heaters, stoves, washing machines, clothes dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, carpets, bedding, television sets, stereos, books, and similar household appliances;

BUT EXCLUDING: Tires, automobiles and any parts thereof, building and construction materials, rocks, bricks, earth, grass and yard waste, railroad ties, industrial refuse, hazardous materials, demolition materials, tree stumps, logs of wood, broken concrete, chemicals, motor oil, paint, propane containers and recyclable materials (newspapers, glass, aluminum, bimetal cans, plastic, cardboard, batteries, etc.).

NOTE: Note that all fuel and oil must be removed from lawn mowers and other gas/diesel powered devices prior to disposal at the landfill. Paint cans and propane containers will not be accepted.

Note also that no scavenging will be permitted at the landfill.

The facility is located on the south of Pill Hill Road between Meeker Road and Mount Airy Road. Please contact the Borough Hall Offices for further information regarding the 2007 Landfill Cleanup Program at 766-3000.
