Councilman Al Ribeiro

Al’s term as a member of the Bernardsville Borough Council began in January 2022. He serves on the Council’s Finance and Public Works Committees and is the Council liaison to the Board of Health, the Land Use Committee, and the Mayor’s Wellness Committee. Before being elected to Council, he served as a member of the Board of Health, the Downtown Redevelopment Committee, and the Mayor's Wellness Committee. He also previously served on the Somerset County Open Space Advisory Committee.

Al is a solutions-focused businessman with over 18 years of experience, primarily in the biopharma sector - experience which he wants to utilize to bring people together to solve challenging problems in our community. He has an MBA from Georgetown University and has a B.A. from The College of New Jersey, and additionally serves as a member of the Georgetown University MBA Alumni Advisory Committee. Al and his wife live on North Finley Ave. They love to travel and spend their free time in Cross Estate Gardens and hiking in Jockey Hollow.
