Bernardsville Borough operates & maintains a year-round composting facility for resident use.

We encourage residents to make use of this facility for their yard brush and leaf composting needs.

The 2019 Application for a Commuter Parking Decal is now available on our Online Forms page. The parking decal is for use by train/bus commuters.

"Before, during and after" the major repairs to the Train Station parking lot - curbing, paving and permanent striping.  Work was completed November 4, 2018 with minimum disruption to the community.  Normal parking has resumed in time for all the upcoming Holidays.

Please register for transportation for the upcoming 2019 Shawnee Ski Trips for students in grades 7th and 8th. Trips will be on Wednesdays: January 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and February 6th. Cost is $135 for transportation only.

Bernardsville Recreation will be holding registration for Wrestling (with the Raritan Valley Wrestling League) for all age groups on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018  and Thursday, October 24th, 2018 at Bedwell School Cafeteria from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Registration will be ongoing.

This season's coaches will be available to answer any questions. Youth Wrestling Programs: Grades 5th-8th Youth Wrestling, Youth practices will be Monday and Wednesdays (6:00 pm–8:00pm), Midget Program: Grades 2nd-6th Midget practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays (6:00 pm-8:00pm) and Novice Program: Grades K-2nd, Novice will meet Friday nights (6:00 pm-7:30 pm). Volunteer coaches are also needed and all coaches must be Rutgers certified.

Bernardsville Recreation is offering Recreation Basketball for boys and girls, which will be grouped by grade level: Kindergarten through 1st, 2nd grade, 3rd & 4th Grade, and 5th through 8th Grade. For a fun and effective program, coaches are needed in all programs.

Deer management will resume for the third consecutive year in accordance with Bernardsville Borough Ordinance 2016 – 1710, and Resolution #18-190. Deer management, with only bow & arrow hunting,  will begin afterSeptember 10, 2018 until February 17, 2019, on four Borough-owned properties: Borough Springs/Laurelwood, Charlotte Hill, Peter's Tract and Whitenack. These four Borough-owned properties have been clearly marked to prohibit hunting to anyone else except the Borough-approved Warren Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Club. Each member assigned to the above mentioned properties have registered with the Bernardsville Police Department. They must call the Police Department before entering and leaving Bernardsville with all necessary information about any hunting activity and display the Bernardsville Police Department registration on the dashboard of their vehicle(s).Deer management will be allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from approximately 6 am to 9:30 am, and the hunters can be back in the woods from 3 pm until sundown depending on weather conditions. No hunting will be done on holidays. The marksman use bows and arrows and are trained to work safely in wooded areas. Walkers are urged to be cautious during these times and control their animals. The Borough has an approved permit for Little Brook Sanctuary from the County for Warren Blue Ridge this year, as they did last year, and the same rules as above apply, except when Little Brook Sanctuary/County has scheduled another event.
