9/11 Remembrance at Bernardsville Public Library - September 11, 2019

This brief video touches on the 18th annual remembrance of the terrorist attacks on America. Speaking for the staff and Board of Trustees of the Bernardsville Public Library, Alexandria Arnold, library director,  welcomed visitors to the site of the borough’s 9-11 Memorial. Mayor Mary Jane Canose spoke of the date as "one of those life changing events" faced by every generation.  She quoted from a speech by Megan McDowell, of Heartworks in Bernardsville, "in the weeks and months following the terrorists attacks, our only intention was kindness ...."  Two Borough residents, Tom Reinig and Allison Horstmann Jones, were killed on 9/11. Bernards High School students participated in the ceremonies.  Library Board Vice President, Patrice Cummings asked everyone to join in pledging allegiance to our flag.
