Rolling Recycling Tote Program Expansion in Bernardsville

A second section of Bernardsville (7A) will receive their totes on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 and first use will be the Tuesday, March 5, 2019 pick-up.  This section labeled “7a” is North of Rt. 202 and East of Claremont Rd/Mendham Rd (map on Boro website).  Please note that only homes on the East Side of Claremont Rd (from Rt. 202 to Olcott Lane) and on the East side of Mendham Rd will be included in this section.

When totes are dropped off, there will also be a letter and flyer from Somerset County Recycling Division with detailed instructions.  Totes are for RECYCLING ONLY, Absolutely No Plastic Bags.  Questions, please contact Somerset County Recycling Division at 732-469-3363.

Somerset County Recycling Division is gradually rolling out the new Curbside Recycling equipment and guidelines.  It began in Bernardsville in August 2018, and will be completed County-wide within the next few years.  Every household receives two 65 gallon rolling recycling “totes” with permanent color-coded lids.

Recyclables placed in Rolling Recycling Totes in areas other than those currently designated will not be picked up by Somerset County Recycling Division trucks.
