Somerset County Recycling Division is gradually rolling out the new Curbside Recycling equipment and guidelines.  It began in Bernardsville in August 2018, and will be completely implemented County-wide within the next few years.  Every household will be receiving two new 65 gallon rolling recycling “totes” with wheels to easily move around and have color-coded lids that are permanently attached.  This will allow residents to eliminate the use of Plastic bags for any Recyclables for weather concerns.

No other sections of Bernardsville are subject to the upgrade at this time.  When your totes are dropped off you will also receive a letter and flyer from Somerset County Recycling Division with detailed instructions, see links below.

Bernardsville does not have further information on when remaining section(s) of Bernardsville will be receiving totes, but within a few years, as ALL households throughout Somerset County will be receiving the totes.  You are advised to wait to receive your totes and letter.  Recyclables placed in Rolling Recycling Totes in areas other than those currently designated will not be picked up by Somerset County Recycling Division trucks. These totes are supplied by Somerset County for the collection of RECYCLING ONLY.  If you have questions, please contact Somerset County Recycling Division at 732-469-3363.

When Residents receive your two totes, this letter and flyer will be attached:
