Community Garden: A Place for Bernardsville Residents to Grow Organic Food

The Bernardsville Community Garden is a place for new and experienced gardeners to grow their own vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers.

There is a perimeter fence that protects the garden plots from the deer, bunnies and groundhogs.

Plots are available for Bernardsville residents only. Each plot has drip irrigation (automated on a timer to ensure plants get water during Spring, Summer, Fall, when gardeners are away on vacation or otherwise too busy to visit frequently).

If you are a resident of Bernardsville and would like to sign up for a garden plot, please contact the garden director, Wanda Knapik at mylocalgarden@gmail.com or 908-432-2198. The garden is located on the historic Dunster Squibb property at Spring House Road off Route 202 (pass the Fire House heading south and turn right onto Spring House Road, second driveway on the left).  Cost per garden plot: $50 for one year or $75 for 2 years, plus a $45 maintenance fee per year for managing invasive species and irrigation maintenance parts.

We are looking forward to seeing more Bernardsville residents in the Bernardsville Community garden!
